Mr. Kunkel, EPI's Principal Hydrogeologist, brings eighteen years experience to the EPI Team as a project manager, task manager, or technical lead for numerous environmental investigations. He received a Masters in Hydrology and a Bachelors degree in Geology, both from the University of Idaho. Mr. Kunkel is experienced in site characterization and remediation for contaminants in soil and ground water, evaluation of remediation technologies, remediation system design, installation, operation, sampling plan preparation, technical writing, and negotiations with regulatory agencies.
His extensive field experience includes treatability pilot studies and implementation of full scale remediation systems, site characterization, production well design, installation and testing, monitoring well design and installation, sampling, and decommissioning, soil and sediment sampling, and air monitoring.
